I am an administrator on Cichlidfish.com and the Webmaster for the Oscar Cichlid Fan Club. I have kept fish for many years but only got into Oscars a couple of years ago. I have lived in Australia all my life and have never been overseas. I have 6 kids and have lots of pets my favourite being Oscars. I currently have 5 oscars and still have the original tiger oscars I first bought. Like many new oscar owners I jumped in and got the oscars first without getting the right tank and equipment. This was manley due to the advise given from the LFS. I soon found out that I was in for more than I imagined with keeping oscars and rarely take any advise from a LFS.(oscars cant live in a 20 gallon tank.lol) My Os are currently housed in a 80g and two 55g tanks with my dwarf oscar having to be isolated in a 30g due to being too small to be with any of the others and beating up on my other non oscar fish.(He seems happy on his own anyway) He is the same age as my lutino and his brother who is a red/black tiger but while they are 6inches plus he has not got any bigger than about 2 inches. He acts and looks like a normal oscar except for his size, I have never seen one like him. When I learn how to take decent photos of fish in a tank I will put him on this site.
