Sleeping Vertical

My Parrot Cichlid sleeps head down and completely vertical in between the plastic plants. At first I thought he was dead, but when I took the net to him he came out flying. It's the funniest thing I have ever seen.

Thats really odd...I wonder if its a cause for any concern. I didn't know that fish sleep, at least not in the sense that we think of sleep, and certainly not when there is light.

Some cichlids are down right strange sometimes and have crazy habbits. Just keep an eye on him to make sure he is okay.

All i can tell you is that fish has problems!
Joking, i used to have a fish kinda like that. Maybe he is just a bit lazy.

I caught one or my two Parrot Cichlids doing this very thing, Vertical and in the Plastic Plants letting the bubbles form an air stone running over him/her (I dont know how to tell). I went grap him/her wit the net and he/she started moving and then went to his/her hiding place in the rocks. Did a Google search found this post and signed up to the Forum.
