Greeting to you all!

My name is Cheryl.

I have 48 gallons, (mixed female cichlids & one blue cichlid). 36 gallons, one male zebra cichlid is living by himself because he is very mean & aggressive to others. All of them (31) are males/females young red zebra cichlids ( juveniles) at home. I sold it about 20 baby red cichlids fry so far. That was pretty good as I am lucky that those friends just bought it from me.

Looking into my 20 gallon tank have over 31 of these young juveniles red zebra cichlid fish are way too many if you could ask me. I went to ask a lady at the pet store as she wouldn't want them because they would rather order from the fish breeders only with business licence. Not accepting to take those baby fishes from the customers at home. I just couldn't understand and try to figure it out why.
The problem is, nobody wants them. Anyone here who knows someone. So I just don't know how to put place them in the box to keep them warm in the package and send it out in the spring or summer time. Not in the winter time, it is way too cold here in Canada. To where, Edmonton International Airport? UPS? Express?

I am currently living here in Alberta, Canada. I would appreciate to find someone who can help? Thanks! Cichlid Lovers!!

I can't be much of a help here,having the same problem with the Cichlids Convicts.
I got them from a friend and not being a cichlid person just set it all up about 6 months ago. So far I had 3 fries and right now one fry of 40, a month old and one fry of about 20 that are 3 weeks old. the adults (12 at the moment) in a 50 gallon tank with the latest fry. Luckily for me, i can bring them to a fish/pet store and they take m. it is a 120 mile drive there and back. last trip i made there with 36 cichlids about 3 inch and more. and I got a whole $20 for them. (selling them at $9 a piece in the store) 50 cichlids in a 50 gallon tank was to much.so i joined this website and offered them for free. Now this is my experience so far. not one reply what so ever. seeing the same with your post, an a few more, i wonder how active this site is.
Hope you find a way to make some one else happy with your fry. or a store who will keep m in quarantine for a time and still make a profit. have a great day Leo

Thanks for your reply! I've joined three website addresses are: Fish Forum.com, Fishlore.com & Aquarium.com. I am going to try thinning them out in my aquarium tanks. Too many babies fry. Already put on my new posts (young juveniles 4 sale) there. Hoping it might works! To take on my time learning how to pack in the box with uniheat , plastic bag and Styrofoam insulation. At the Canada Post: Priority - next day (speed) or xpresspost - next day and 2 days (speed). Within Canada only shipping preferred. All the best as I can do it!
