What South/Central American cichlids can I keep with these?

I am looking for a nice pair/group of South/Central American cichlids for my tank;

I currently have:
25x Silvertip Tetras
4x Corydoras Julii
2x Siamese Flying Fox (Moving to another tank when bigger)
2x Bristlenose Catfish
In my 4ft 240l (Fluval Roma 240) aquarium.

I am trying to decide on a species of cichlid for this tank, I do not want dwarf species although, due to the restrictions of tank size, nothing too large either. I have thought of firemouths, angels, severums and festive cichlids.

Are the fish I have stated suitable and are there other species that would fit the tank.

Any help is appreciated and once the pair are in I will post pictures.

I personally haven't had the same setup of fish you currently have so I'm not so sure as to compatibility in terms of temperament aggressiveness, but that many times varies from fish to fish anyways...but you may want to decide whether you want a very peaceful aquarium with little or no fighting or if you don't mind seeing some scuffles....if you want to keep the fish size down, if you like nice color, some of those smaller Africans can be nice to have...but I know you mentioned you were interested in keeping it South/Central American only...
