I bleieve I've mentioned this writer before, in context of hi "Doc Ford" series. Just finished a couple of his "non-fiction" books. They're really collections of stories. He was a light-tackle fishing guide on Sanibel Island for a number of years, and also wrote stories for various magazines -- Outdoors, Men's Health, probably a few others. These two books seem to be collections of those writings:
"The Sharks of Lake Nicaragua"
"Batfishing in the Rain Forest"
Really entertaining! "Sharks" is a little more upbeat; "Batfishing" a bit more pensive. In both cases the title of the book is the title of the last story. The subject matter is "adventure/travel". Fish and fishing are involved, but they're not really "about" that. Subject matter ranges from fishing to baeball to dog sledding. Very interesting and clever!
