And the story is......
One of my convicts had a lump which spread to many, I treated the main tank with meds to try to rid it of any free swimmers, and then put the convict in my hosp tank. The meds in my main set up really upset my Firemouths and they all died (4) over a space of a few days. My convict in the hosp tank seemed well in himself but the meds were not clearing the parasite, we thought that it might be some kind of bacterial infectional so I cleared the meds from the tank gave him a break from meds but added some melafix to soothe him and then treated him with meds to kill a bacterial infection, he died part way through this treatment!
.
I bought another tank (remember?) Once the tank had cycled I put my remaining fish into this tank, so that I could strip down my other tank, give it a good clean to rid it of any parasite/harmfull bacteria, and to make a repair to my filter housing and cycle this tank again. Unfortunatly the heater in my new tank (containing my remaining fish) malfunctioned, it really over heated the tank!!!!! I lost my two remaining Convicts, and my huge 10 yr old Pleco
At least I managed to save my large Tin foil Barbs, My Red tailed Cat, Aquiden, and small leopard pleco
!!!!
I've managed to scrape myself of the floor at last and have bought a couple more fish.
I have a synodontis angelicus 3 inches, two baby tin foils, baby albino tin foil, two juv frontosa's one's 3 inches, the other 3.5 inches hope they are a pair! and a Geophagus surinamensis at about 2.5 inches ( really want to find a female now!), they are all fantastic fish, the frontosa's, the syno angelicus (choc brown with orange spots n squiggles) and the geophagus surinamensis are rare around here, never seen them on any one's list's or in any set ups well in Bristol uk at least lol
