oscar digging?

iv had my oscar for about a yr now. and now he moved all of his gravel and physically ripped out all the plants with his mouth and is now trying to go deeper? maybe its time for a bigger tank?
and also i saw him dragging the plants on the bottem of the tank back and forth. and he also scoops up rocks with his mouth and spits them out in another spot? why?

Hi, sorry late reply...and sorry to say that likely bigger tank won't cure his habits 
that's why a lot of people have given up on oscars and plants in tank etc...if you come up with good solution or can train yours to behave please let us know
