Can't wait to see it! You know there was a time when I wanted to get rid of Jack. He was growing inches a month, eating 5-6 doz large feeder fish a week as well as about 1/2 cup pellets and still begging for more! I thought his appetite would break our bank! But now he's become part of the family, and still doesn't eat as much as my husband! Maybe I should get rid of him! LOL j/k I'm really getting into this oscar stuff now, and you guys are helping alot. Thank you again!

Yea, was six for a while. I actually might get another albino. I'm really curious about what I'll really get breeding one with my tigers. Supposedly you're supposed to get some that are albino and some that are tigers. Funny thing is that crossing my female (striped, regular) convict with my male pink convict produced fry which basically all look striped to varying degrees. I noticed some of my red-devils are finally getting some color [img]http://www.cichlidfish.com/ubb/smile.gif[/img]

That should be an interesting mix! [img]http://www.cichlidfish.com/ubb/smile.gif[/img] I wouldn't have any luck with that many large fish! They would all be under-fed, living in highly polluted water, and probably hate me! I have a hard enough time trying to clean up after the one I have! I have to climb up on a stool just so I can reach the bottom of the tank to clean the gravel! And why I let people talk me into thinking I needed 100lbs of gravel for a 75 gal tank, I'll never know. It's more than enough, and a pain in the *** to clean!! LOL (I used stars to be nice [img]http://www.cichlidfish.com/ubb/smile.gif[/img] )

I know what you mean, after a while I tried some gravel since everyone was saying how fish loved it. And yea it was kind of cool seeing them moving it around but like you said, it's too hard to clean that's why I keep my big tanks bare-bone with no gravel etc...many times though I just dump the fish in some buckets and hose out the fish-tank and clean it thoroughly and put all new water in. Still have plenty bio in bioballs etc...

I know. Gravel looks so natural in there. If ya only didn't have to clean it!! Hey, there's a thought... You know how they have slef-cleaning litterboxes? How about self cleaning gravel beds! LOL Now I'd pay for one of those!!

I use sand in the bottoms of my tanks. I works really good. All the crap and stuff stays right on top of in, and its easy to clean [img]http://www.cichlidfish.com/ubb/smile.gif[/img]
