Here is a photo of my "hot rod". I have more photos of it in my album if you care to see them. It's a 1998 Camaro RS. Only Modifications I have done is the camaro windshield decal, a carbon fiber "camaro" insert for the rear letters, and Borla exhaust.

Cool sporty lookin car....nice. What are the engine specs etc...?

It has a 3800 V6 with 200 hp stock. I wanted the Z28, but couldn't afford the high insurance rate. The car has every option on it that a Z can have including the upgraded suspension. Only difference is the engine and transmission. To be a V6, it's got some power. I can keep up with stock Mustang GT's that have an automatic transmission on the street. The car only has around 3,000 miles on it so it's brand new.

Got like 18K miles already on my 2002 wrx. Mine's probably faster but heck sure doesn't look as fast as yours so is it manual or automatic?

Very nice Chris and Im totally jealous but Im glad I chose kids and gave up my mean machines.

When I can afford a nice car again(when the kids leave home) it will be something from the 1970s era like a restored gt xb ford falcon hardtop or maybe a Fatboy or maybe both or maybe I better keep dreaming lol.

Mean time I will just keeping repairing my van, a mitsibishi starwagon, seats 8 people.

ive got a 66 doge dart wiht a 340 that runs 11: 50 in a quarter mile. but we really dont drive that on the road like yer camaro

Think I only have like one picture and don't know where it is, but anyway I don't think it looks impressive. I bought it mainly because of the AWD, before I bought it I was actually going to buy an Audi A4 Quattro and was looking at the Jaguar X-Type. But then after testdriving the wrx I wanted it especially since saved me a lot of money compared to the Audi or Jaguar. I found the Jaguar to be very comfortable but if money wasn't an option I would have gone with the Audi, comfortable and fun to drive, the wrx is nice if you like to feel turbo kick-in but it just isn't comfortable. Anyway, I also drove the Lexus IS 300 and that car was fun and engine felt very smooth, nice fluid acceleration. Friend of mine has an Audi S4 Quattro, after I beat him from the stop light I offered him an even trade .....unfortunately I don't have his Audi

I sold my MR2 (wich Chris you know is better than any chevy;) )
and bought a 1971 Datsun 510, no engine in it, but I plan on putting either a SR20DET or a VG30 (I hope that is the right name of the engine), pretty much I plan on stripping the whole car out, making it as light as I can (around 2,000lbs), if anybody has ever seen the old BRE race car, that's what I want mine to look like, but without all the sponsor stickers.

HAHAHAH, just trying to get you worked up Chris.

Anyway, as for your question.....a 510 is cooler, and I can do more things to it than I could my MR2. There are TONS of different engines I could put in my 510. Plus, it was time for a new car, I need something new. Another thing is, I wanted a Nissan, so now in our driveway we have 2 Nissan's, my Mom's 1987 Nissan Sentra with only 78,000 miles and the 510! Now, only if I can get my hands on a 240z I would be even happier.


P.s. Joe, what year is your friends Audi? Is it the good looking one or the new ugly ones? Either one has good power, but the new ones are ugly.

You mean an early model 240z Mark? like the 1970 model in the pic? Or a later model one? I think they ran that model till 1979.

Had a mate who owned one with a 5litre chevy v8,lsd diff,5 speed manual muncie gear box.. Jet on wheels lol

Yeah, that's the Z I want, to get a decent one isn't that expensive, but the time and money to get it fast needed is pretty high. They are all over the place, go to any junkyard and you'll see at least 3. It's pretty rare to see a nice Z around where I live, tons of junky ones, but not really any super nice ones.
