Do you mean Disks? As in a flat peice that holds music? That over here is called a CD, compact disks. And yes they are very popular here. Got rid of the 8 track in the 80's, getting rid of the cassetts and now it is CD's. what did you want to know about them? We have a collection of over 200. Various artist.
The "DJ" here is a man/woman who plays music at a party/club from a DISK (CD's) machine.

lol! yes exactly that.i know were a little behind over here but not that much![sorry].

basically ive had decks for a couple of years and im into my dj'ing big time.its my biggest hobby other than keeping my pets.i live in an area in the u.k that has lots of clubs and and getting to play out in 1 soon is my aim.

just wondered if anyone shared the same interest??;)

visual dj is combining video graphics/fx/psychedelic images with audio. Like winamp mp3 plugin that makes video dance to music etc....ie analyzes the beat of music to trigger various effects etc...

I don't dj, but I'm really REALLY into electronica. Ambient, downtempo, trance, acid jazz... I mean seriously, pretty much any genre of electronic music I enjoy. From happy hardcore to deathgabber!

What part of the uk are u from? I am a big music fan myself, its the cause of most of my rows with my bf. He simply doesn't share my love for music, in fact hates the music I love. Its such a shame there's nothing I would love more than being able to share my excitment with him when I listen to a new track/artist that makes me tick, or when I find a new mix that works well.

I have played sets in Cossies, and Dojo's in Bristol, damb I love the underground clubs, not into commercial places.

Cant say I listen to a particular genre of music but my bass line isin soul and rnb, still have a special glow for drum n bass, raggae and danvehall I love the chilled vibe this music creates
